Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to update you all on the recruitment process for a new Executive Headteacher for the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools following David Sheppard’s announcement last year that he will be retiring at the end of this academic year.

The Governing Board has received considerable interest in the post, however we have not as yet identified a candidate with the right level of skill, experience and vision to lead the Federation into the next phase of its development.  We are continuing the search process and we will be undertaking another national recruitment campaign commencing September 2019.

In the meantime, David has kindly agreed to stay on as our Executive Head during this period to ensure continued stability and a smooth transition to the new leader. The governors are very grateful to David for his continued support and commitment to the Federation.
